OECD highlights CO2 Performance Ladder as best practice for sustainable procurement in report

The OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) is a forum of 34 countries to discuss, study and coordinate social and economic policies. These countries attempt to solve mutual problems and to align international policies.

Best practice for sustainable procurement

The OECD recently published the report ‘Going Green: best practices for sustainable procurement’, in which best practices for sustainable procurement where highlighted to serve as an inspiring example for other countries. Part of the dimension ‘environmental standards in procurement’ is Rijkswaterstaat (the Department of Public Works of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment) as public authority. The application of the CO2 Performance Ladder is extensively clarified as an example for sustainable procurement, just as DuboCalc.
